The International Red Cross Society was conceptualised by Sir Henry Dunant after his incidental exposure to the plight of thousands of helpless , wounded soldiers as an aftermath of war in Italy and their near total lack of medical help.

A Polyclinic and Diagnostic Centre was started at Shivaji Nagar premises in 1992 and offered Consulting Services in different Clinical disciplines besides providing Pathology Laboratory for assorted Investigations

On "World Red Cross Day" – 8 th May, 2023 Indian Red Cross Society, M.P.State Branch, Bhopal has organized, a one-day regional program of Junior Red Cross students and counsellors in the gracious presence of Hon'ble Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel.
