Tuberculosis (TB) is one of the major public health problems of India. According to WHO estimates, India has the world's largest epidemic of Tuberculosis (TB). The Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) is playing an increasingly important role in ensuring that India is made Tuberculosis (TB) free.

Since 2009 Indian Red Cross Society is working for TB patients in different states at community level. The Indian Red Cross Society has requested Red Cross branches of the states to adopt volunteers, social workers and organizations for the treatment of patients suffering from Tuberculosis, their nutritional diet etc. and provide nutritious food and medicines to a patient for 6 months .

In this series, patients suffering from Tuberculosis (TB) have been identified by various district units of Indian Red Cross Society, Madhya Pradesh State Branch.
